Our Story
In the historic town of Nantucket, Massachusetts, a transformative journey unfolded, marking the genesis of Servants Heart International Ministries in November 2019. The visionary leaders behind this endeavor were Senior Pastors, Apostle Garfield and Dr. Gillian Bloise, whose journey of service and ministry commenced at Living Word Christian Center.
The Calling
Under the nurturing guidance of Bishop and Pastor Sandra Walters, Apostle Garfield and Dr. Gillian Bloise cultivated his skills and passion for ministry, eventually receiving the divine calling to establish Servants Heart International Ministries. This sacred mission was undertaken with the blessings of the church leadership, and since its inception, the ministry has stood as a testament to faith, hope, and love, extending its benevolent influence beyond the shores of Nantucket.
Our Humble Beginnings
Our humble beginnings trace back to the intimate setting of the Bogan's living room, where the seeds of Servants Heart International Ministries were planted. Miraculously, God's grace multiplied our congregation daily, prompting the expansion of our sacred gatherings beyond the confines of a living room. Through the unwavering dedication of our members, friends, family, and the surrounding community, we have been blessed to acquire our own property, a testament to the providence of God.
The Journey
As we set forth on this historic journey, our hearts are fortified by the words spoken by Jesus in Matthew 16:18 (AMP), which expounds on this verse, we stand firm on the promise: "And I tell you, you are Peter [a large piece of rock], and on this rock [a [b]firm, immovable foundation] I will build My church; and the [c]gates of Hades (death) will not overpower it [by preventing the resurrection of the Christ]." Anchored by this unshakable foundation, we press onward with patience, keeping our focus on Jesus, the originator, and perfecter of our faith. Just as Christ assured the enduring strength of His church, we move forward with confidence, knowing that the gates of adversity will not prevail against the purpose and calling set before us.
